Samsung LN46A650 Reviews

A selection of reviews from happy customers who have purchased the Samsung LN46A650 from Amazon

A stunning TV

I have been researching for close to 4 months looking for an lcd tv to that would fit my requirements. The competition was stiff when you look at what the likes of Sony and Panasonic have to offer. Tv's of this size do not come cheap so it was important to purchase a tv that would be considerably future proof. After months of deliberation the LN46A650 from the Samsung range of lcd tv's was placed at the top of the list. The next problem that arose was trying to get the best deal. Well you would be hard pressed to beat what Amazon have to offer. Free delivery and no tax was a compelling reason to buy from them. So an order was placed and the ln46a650 duly arrived 4 days later where it was unpacked and up and running within twenty minutes. Well the reviews were spot on. The picture on this set is nothing short of awesome. I have got it plugged into my panny bluray player and the resulting picture quality is fantastic. I am now researching a surround sound system to compliment the current set up.

LN46A650 Just Rocks

I saw the Samsung LN46A650 lcd tv in someone else's home and fell in love with it. I found out that three of my friends also have this television in different sizes. The HD picture is incredible, but the standard definition channels also look great. Amazon had the best price and I ordered it (free shipping) on a monday evening and received it on Saturday. First off, buying the Samsung LN46A650 lcd on Amazon is great. They deliver it to your place, unbox it and wait for you to say whether or not you want to keep the Samsung LN46A650. The price can't be beat (trust me I tried at a few retailers but they just can't price match Amazon). The Samsung LN46A650 is really nice, the bezel is good looking and the picture quality is great. As with all big LCD's watching standard television looks worse than it did on the old tube TV, but that's a price you have to be willing to pay to get the AWESOME HD channels looking lovely. The infolink is cool, but I don't find myself using it as often as I expected. I do like knowing it's there, and i like the USB cables and many many HDMI slots. Good tv - definitely recommend it.

What a fantastic deal. Grab yourself a Bargain at Amazon. The Samsung LN46A650 LCD

I love my new Samsung ln46a650. If you love sport or a great movie that puts you in the stand or on the set then this is the TV for you. The clarity has to be seen to be believed. The TOC isn't such a big deal as it's mounted on the wall and without any lights reflecting on the TV it doesn't appear all that noticeable. The "halo" that some has spoken about again isn't a big deal to me, if it wasn't there it would be great but no biggie. I do like the full glass front (bezel) no plastic to be seen, who doesn't like that. I paired the LN46A650 TV up with a Sammy Blue ray from Amazon as well and I'm glad I did I changed my Netflix to Blue ray and I'm still scratching my head why I didn't do this sooner. Great picture, great factory settings no need to play around to get "that perfect picture" and I do like the Samsung LN46A650 "Anynet" remote, one remote does it all.

The best LCD and it will not break the bank

The Samsung LN46A650 TV got a Consumer Reports recommended buy in the August 08 issue and I am very pleased. The picture is great at 120Hz.
Buttons (or lack of physical buttons on the TV) - The "buttons" for the Samsung LN46A650 lcd tv are built into the glass on the right side of the bezel (towards the bottom). So you touch that spot on the bezel to activate the buttons (similar to the power and eject buttons on the PS3). Makes for a very clean look. Swivel base - I originally thought I would have to mount the TV on the wall, but the swivel base has worked out very well and easily swivels from side to side so I can turn the Samsung LN46A650 to be viewable in the family room or from the kitchen. The base is sturdy and the swiveling is solid (it stays put wherever you swivel it to). Picture Quality - I have been very happy with the picture quality for both HD and SD sources (although my primary viewing is HD). TOC - As mentioned in various other places, the red TOC (touch of color) is very subtle and doesn't in any way detract from my viewing. It does make the LN46A650 lcd TV look just that much better when it's not on versus a traditional plain grey TV. Minimal Setup - I tweaked a few settings, but overall I have been happy with the ease of use and didn't have to spend a lot of time to get a good picture. Samsung LN46A650 46inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV

Bottom line: It's the best and I have no regrets. I researched the Samsung LN46A650 lcd at the Consumer Reports website and numerous other websites prior to making this purchase. My wife and I figured if anyone would truly know which is the best LCD, then We should investigate the LN46A650. This one was considered the best for its size. The non-HD channels don't appear that great (look what you're comparing it to though) but the movies and HD channels are awesome and that's with my cable company only being able to support the 1080i (no 1080p) format. There is a claimed issue that there is some sort of loss of color and visibility at the wider viewing angles on the Samsung LN46A650 lcd tv(its only at the extreme angles but that makes sense) and that there was too much glare; once again I fail to see this as an issue especially compared to some other brands and I have no problems.
